Cultivating “time beyond time”: authentic encounters, authentic time

Prema Kriya Yoga – Yoga and Vedic Astrology Workshop: We Are the Mirror of the Universe in Milan and online – Online 20-hour Course: The Planets and Chakras (According to Jyotish – Vedic Astrology)

Lately, I’ve been experiencing a profound nostalgia: the kind that defies explanation and transcends time.

I feel there’s still so much to experience and so much inner growth to be accomplished, along with a vast array of memories: memories of moments that will never return: this isn’t just a personal feeling, but also, and above all, a collective one.

Life is truly overwhelming, and the world is even more so, with its positives and negatives, its ups and downs, its beauty and ugliness, its successes and failures, its gains and losses, its sunny days and rainy ones, its sunrises and sunsets. I realize that it is precisely these continuous cycles that define the very act of living.

This duality leads me to observe time passing before my eyes, where essential and difficult experiences alternate with joyful and happy ones. I learn every day, especially through yoga, that both are blessings: they teach us, shape us, and become part of our story.

All this is sobering: on the one hand, there is a great transformation taking place, both externally and internally, for the individual and for the community. Yet, at the same time, something remains: something enduring, eternal, infinite, and ever-present. There is a “time in between,” an eternal present: a presence present in every moment.

I realize we can experience this non-chronological time when we do what we love most or when we create something born from the heart. In those moments, time stands still: whether through a meditative yoga practice, but also through writing, music, dance, singing, painting, or a loving touch; through appreciating and feeling everything with every cell of our being; through connecting with nature and animals or sharing authentic human encounters; through looking someone in the eye or practicing altruism and gratitude.

All of this is infinite; it exists forever: it transcends time.

My hope is that we may cultivate this “time beyond time” throughout our existence: an existence so precious and fragile, brief yet eternal.

May we nourish this loving presence: is it not the same one manifested by Christ and the greatest masters and teachers of every tradition and era?

It calls us to reveal itself and seeks to be reborn through us—in a state of compassion, solidarity, and Divine Love—a love that truly knows no end.

Let us affirm with all our attention and devotion, to remember Who we are:

“I am the infinite. Above, below, left and right, within, without. I behold eternity, I am That. I am not a small body in this finite world of dreams and illusions. I am extended in eternal space. I am a great light shining upon the Universe. I am immortal. I am Bliss.” Yogananda

Would you like to learn more and deepen your understanding of yoga, meditation, and living in this elevated state of consciousness?

An Evening of Bhakti Yoga Devotional Chants

In Brazil, there’s a saying: “Quem canta seus males espanta,” which translated into English means “He who sings, drives away all evil.” These words align perfectly with the teachings of Master Yogananda, who reminds us, “Singing is half the battle.”

Yoga is infinite and connects us with that true and pure space that dwells within each of our hearts. Mantra chants and sacred words are yogic techniques of naad yoga, or the yoga of sound. When chanted continuously, with concentration and devotion (bhakti), they clear mental chatter and create space for a true inner state of profound healing, in the Light of the Self.

After each chant, we will enter Anahata Nada: the “unstruck sound,” feeling and receiving the subtle vibration heard in the profound silence of meditation.

Come join us, On this cosmic journey of Divine Love, Prema.

Inspiration

In the Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna falls to the ground in deep reverence. He realizes that Krishna is not just a person, but the infinite energy that holds everything together. In Chapter 11, Verse 40, it is then said:

“Homage to You from before, from behind, and on all sides! O unlimited power, You are the lord of limitless strength! You pervade everything, and therefore, You are everything!”
